The Ayumi Hamasaki Network

Ayumi has now completed the photography of a photographic series for the brave lingerie from high class "Wacoal", marketed by Peach John in Japan. She will be depicted on large billboards in China, South Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand and other Asian countries. There is also a rumoured that she allso will front the lingerie in the United States, as well as in several European countries, including France. The newspaper 'Sanspo' suggests that this is a step in the marketing of Ayumi Hamasaki outside Japan, since such ads will give her great media attention in the relevant countries.

Mika Nogutchi, "Mommy" the president of the Peach John, and one of Ayumi's closest friends was presented during photography. Publishing date has not yet been confirmed.

Wacoal signs up Hamasaki for underwear ads in Asian market

TOKYO —

Lingerie maker Wacoal has signed up singer Ayumi Hamasaki, 29, for its lingerie advertising campaign in the Asian market. According to Wacoal, photos of Hamasaki in Wacoal underwear will be used for advertisements in China, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Vietnam from the end of July. The ads will not be used in Japan, the company said.

A spokesperson for Wacoal said, “Ms Hamasaki has the highest profile in Asia and is supported by females fans in their 20s who are our target consumers.” The company is expecting a synergy effect from the ads with her Asian tour in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Taiwan from Sept 20.

Ayu went to the Peach John fashion show last year. She obviously loves the brand enough to become its new face. I really like the picture. It is very classy, and Ayu looks beautiful. The photo is still true to her character. I really hope this is a worldwide campaign!! I would love to see Ayu on a billboard in the US!!

I was a little "worried" as such, at first, since it'll launch her image outside of Japan and some people may have "first impressions" on her (it happens, I guess), but that is a great picture. It's not completely upfront, but it's still sexy.

This is what I love about ayu.

She can be sexy she can wear underwear,

and yet she's so classy and mature when she does it.

lol. i agree ayu is not like beyonce or something =p but with the right push up bra and good positioning, i can see how ayu could achieve a healthy cleavage without much photoshop help. i think when you lie down your fat can be shifted differently...like your stomach can look flatter or if you're positioned on the side it can all hang out =/ haha so same with the chest, i guess.
